Heads CriticalDistance, a media research and training consultancy in the Netherlands, where for many years he presented Media Network examining global broadcasting trends and issues for Radio Netherlands. Jonathan travels extensively advising on new media trends and strategic issues for clients as varied as the BBC and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Radio heritage issues are amongst his key concerns.

Dr Jo Del Monaco

Has worked in radio and TV in Los Angeles, and has media and PR experience with a number of European international and cooperative and creative businesses. She has an advanced degree in Latin American Economics, a particular interest in Latin American broadcasting, society and economy and is also fluent in French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. She has a strong interest in international media, arts, heritage and multicultural issues.

Dr Adrian Peterson

Is a noted radio historian and broadcaster for many years with Indianapolis based Adventist World Radio, a global shortwave, AM, FM and satellite radio network. Originally from South Australia, Adrian has worked in radio across Asia and the Pacific and is well known worldwide for his long running Wavescan radio series. He has published an extensive number of radio heritage articles using his large database of historical information, and personally maintains the AWR heritage collection, one of the world’s largest privately held memorabilia collections.

Initiated the Radio Heritage Collection project in 1999 and which the Foundation has since taken over, and is  the founding chairman. David has been involved with radio in New Zealand since the 1970s in a number of roles  including presenting radio documentaries and news programs carried by Radio Australia and Radio New Zealand  International. He has worked in the tourism and TV industries both in New Zealand and the USA, published a large number of radio articles (both heritage and contemporary) and is active in a wide range of global radio heritage issues including leading the RHF project maintaining and updating the Pacific content of the annual World Radio TV Handbook.

Chrissy Brand [UK/EU]  – Blogger and publisher of shortwave radio news, general editor of British DX Club monthly magazine.

Dr Bruce Carty [AUS] – Published radio historian including the AM Australian Radio History project, formerly youngest commercial radio DJ in Australia at 2KA, extensive broadcasting and research experience.

Sam Dellit [AUS] – VK4ZSS, senior advisor with ACMA Radio Planning Section, currently working on extensive technical history project of all AM/FM/Narrowcast and LPON in Australia.

Bernard Duncan [NZL] – Former CEO of NZ On Air [public funder of radio/TV stations/programs], recently interim Executive Director of Pacifica Foundation [former GM of KPFK Los Angeles], former Network Manager RNZ commerical, currently independent broadcasting consultant.

Scott Fybush [USA] – US radio industry observer and publisher, owner of Fybush Media [newsletters and websites featuring US radio news], NPR public radio broadcaster, active member of American listener clubs.

Victor Goonetilleke [South Asia] – VS7VK, veteran Asian broadcaster and listener, noted historian and commentator of Asian radio history, contributor to numerous shortwave radio broadcasters.

Bart Lee [USA] – K6VK, ARRL honoroary counsel, board member California Historical Radio Society, noted radio historian.

Chris Mackerell [NZL] – RHF Webmaster, owner of SysOp Solutions, founder/owner of World FM [FM & internet radio broadcaster], experienced AM radio listener/technical experimenter, long time member of NZ Radio DX League.

Andy Sennitt [EU] – Former Editor World Radio TV Handbook, former involvement with Radio Netherlands Media Network, currently with Radio Seagull private Dutch broadcaster as volunteer DJ, extensive broadcasting experience and historical radio knowledge.

Jeff White [USA] – Founder WRMI Florida, one of the world’s largest privately owned shortwave broadcasters, president National Association of Shortwave Broadcasters, broadcaster of radio heritage documentaries such as AWR Wavescan, extensive USA/Latin American broadcasting experience.

 
Role of the Advisory Group
  • widen the knowledge base available to RHF board on many issues
  • review and test practical/technical issues relating to the content and presentation of the new WordPress based website and Collective Access database project
  • provide other information, viewpoints and suggestions for consideration as necessary by the RHF board
  • provide a pool of experienced people from whom additional/future RHF board members can be drawn as necessary
