I am the historian for the U.S. Army Air Corps 13th Troop Carrier Squadron, nicknamed “The Thirsty 13th,” which from November 1944 until August 1945 was based at Mokmer Aerodrome on Biak.

Today I received scans of photos from the collection of a radio operator named Carl Asberry Cook, Jr. They included the attached photo of WVTG, I expect at Biak, which I want to share with you. His daughter Carla gave me permission to share it with you.
