Welcome new Advisory Group
This month after more than 10 years operation, a new Advisory Group was appointed by the board. Their role is basically to provide guidance to the board on many new emerging issues, such as making sure the new WordPress website and the new Collective Access database contribute positively towards the goal of making more radio heritage accessible and available to people the world over, and broadening the range of opinion the board can take into account in future decisions.
The 10 members initially appointed come from Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Netherlands and Sri Lanka and include people with a diverse range of experiences, viewpoints and opinions. A full list can be found here as well as a short background note on each person.
As founding chairman, I’m delighted that a range of people in many countries have stepped forward to help us at this time, all of them recognize the hard work done by the board over the past 10 years to get us this far, and I look forward to working with each of them to make the RHF experience a better one in the years to come. They’re all busy people in their own way and are sharing their energy to help make us better at what we do.
We have many challenges facing us, and opportunities, and I personally thank these new Advisory Group members for giving of their time and skills so freely to ‘keeping the radio memories safe’ and continuing to keep the project freely available to people the world over. The best is yet to come.
