World Record! Bruce Carty on 2CCC FM

In September 1993 DJ Bruce Carty on 2CCC-FM made an attempt on the world record for continuous broadcasting by one DJ. As can be seen from these clippings from the local press he was successful!

There was some debate with the publishers of the Guiness Book of Records, as can be seen in the following correspondence. However, the record was accepted in the end.
